Why am I experiencing irregular, stop-and-start bleeding two months after my C-section, even though my ultrasound is normal, and why does the bleeding return with breastfeeding and driving after being temporarily reduced by Pause MF?
It is completely understandable to feel concerned, but please be reassured that your normal ultrasound is very good news. At two months post-C-section, your uterus is still healing, and your hormones are fluctuating. Breastfeeding releases a hormone called oxytocin, which makes your uterus contract and can squeeze out pooled blood. Physical activities like driving can also temporarily increase pelvic pressure, causing light bleeding to return. Pause MF (tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid) helps control bleeding temporarily but doesn't instantly stop this natural healing process. This stop-and-start pattern is quite common, but please keep your doctor updated to ensure your recovery stays safely on track.
