About Propygenta NF Cream

Propygenta NF Cream contains clobetasol propionate and neomycin. Clobetasol propionate is a potent corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching, while neomycin is an antibiotic that treats certain bacterial skin infections. This combination is used to treat inflammatory skin conditions that are complicated by a confirmed or suspected bacterial infection, such as infected eczema or infected dermatitis.

Apply Propygenta NF Cream exactly as directed by your doctor. It is usually applied once or twice daily for a short period. The length of treatment depends on your skin condition, but treatment with clobetasol-containing products is generally not recommended for longer than 4 weeks unless your doctor advises otherwise. If your symptoms do not improve within about 7 days, or if they worsen at any time, consult your doctor. They may reassess your condition, perform tests such as a skin swab to identify the bacteria causing the infection, or recommend a different treatment.

You may notice mild burning, stinging, itching, or dryness where the medicine is applied. These effects are usually temporary.   • Acne may also occur due to oil in the hair. Thus, if you have oily hair, shampoo more frequently than you do now and keep your hair away from face.
  • Keep your hands off your face as touching face throughout the day might worsen acne. Also, do not pick, squeeze or pop acne as it will prolong the healing process and increase the risk of dark spots and scarring.
  • Avoid tanning by applying a broad spectrum sunscreen and wearing sun-protective clothing when outdoors.
  • Mild hair follicle inflammation often heals on its own without needing treatment.
  • You can apply a warm saltwater or vinegar solution to the affected area with a washcloth, or use over-the-counter antibiotics, oatmeal lotion, or hydrocortisone cream for relief.
