Niolox Eye Drop is used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections. The detailed uses of Niolox Eye Drop are as follows:<br/> • Bacterial eye infections: Niolox Eye Drop is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye such as conjunctivitis caused by bacteria.<br/>• Corneal Ulcers: Niolox Eye Drop is also used to treat corneal ulcers, especially those caused by bacterial infections.<br/>• Post-Surgical Infection Prevention: Niolox Eye Drop may be used to prevent infection after certain eye surgeries like cataract surgery by controlling harmful bacteria in the eye.<br/>
Medicinal Benefits:
Niolox Eye Drop contains Ofloxacin, which is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Niolox Eye Drop inhibits DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme), which is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, it kills bacteria and treats the infection.
Niolox Eye Drop treats bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and cornea ulcers. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Niolox Eye Drop works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, kills bacteria and clears the infection.
You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Niolox Eye Drop as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of cornea (transparent layer at the front of eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using Niolox Eye Drop and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using Niolox Eye Drop. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Niolox Eye Drop.
Niolox Eye Drop may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.
Niolox Eye Drop is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. Niolox Eye Drop is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.
You are not recommended to stop using Niolox Eye Drop without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the infection. Therefore, use Niolox Eye Drop for as long as your doctor has prescribed it and if you experience any difficulty while using Niolox Eye Drop, please consult your doctor.
