I have a choked throat, blocked nose, and headache, and I am taking Ancef 500 half tablet twice daily, Kinetic Fort twice daily, and LCZ at night. What should I do to feel better?
Blocked nose, throat congestion, and headache are commonly caused by viral infection, allergy, sinus irritation, or weather-related upper respiratory infection. Ancef 500, Kinetic Fort, and LCZ may help depending on the cause, but symptoms may still take several days to improve fully, especially if the infection is viral or sinus-related. Warm fluids, steam inhalation, and proper hydration may help loosen mucus and reduce throat blockage gradually. Resting properly and avoiding cold drinks, smoke, dust, and sudden temperature changes may also support recovery. Sleeping with the head slightly elevated can sometimes improve nasal blockage and throat discomfort during the night. Taking antibiotics in incomplete or incorrect doses may reduce their effectiveness, so medicines should be used only as advised by your doctor. Avoid adding multiple cold medicines on your own because they may increase drowsiness or other side effects. Consult a doctor if fever becomes high, breathing difficulty develops, facial pain increases, mucus becomes thick, yellow or green, or symptoms continue worsening after several days.
