I recently stopped taking Celepra 5mg, which I was prescribed for OCD. After engaging in oral sex, I noticed swelling and hardness on the left side of my penis. Could these symptoms be a side effect of Celepra, or are they related to the sexual activity itself?
Stopping your medication, escitalopram, is highly unlikely to cause localized swelling or hardness in your penis. These symptoms are almost certainly related to the physical friction, minor trauma, or fluid accumulation from the sexual activity itself. There is no need to panic, as this is often a temporary reaction that resolves on its own. For now, avoid further sexual activity to allow the area to heal. If the swelling does not improve within a few days, or if you experience severe pain, difficulty urinating, or skin discoloration, please consult a healthcare provider or a urologist for a proper evaluation.
