My left eyelid has been swollen since yesterday. There is no pain, itching, or redness, but I feel some discomfort when blinking. Could you please suggest suitable eye drops?
Eyelid swelling without pain, itching, or redness can have several causes, including a blocked oil gland, mild irritation, an early stye, or fluid retention. It is best not to start antibiotic or steroid eye drops without an eye examination. You can gently apply a warm compress to the closed eye for 10 to 15 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day. Avoid rubbing the eye and do not use contact lenses or eye makeup until the swelling improves. If you develop pain, redness, discharge, blurred vision, fever, or worsening swelling, consult an eye doctor promptly for proper assessment and treatment.
