About Raricap L Suspension
Raricap L Suspension belongs to a class of medications called haematinics, primarily used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Iron deficiency occurs mainly due to a poor diet or poor dietary absorption.
Raricap L Suspension contains Elemental Iron and Folic acid. Elemental iron helps with the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid helps boost the production of red blood cells (RBCs) in the body. Together, Raricap L Suspension helps treat anaemia.
Raricap L Suspension may cause side effects like constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea in some cases. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not take Raricap L Suspension if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health conditions and medications to prevent any potential interactions.

Raricap L Suspension is used to treat Iron deficiency (anaemia).
Raricap L Suspension contains‚ Iron and Folic acid (haematinics combination) primarily used to treat anaemia. Raricap L Suspension works by boosting red blood cell (RBC) production in the body.
Folic acid requirements are usually met through the diet, but additional supplementation is required in cases of deficiency. Raricap L Suspension is advised to pregnant women who want to conceive as folate utilisation is increased in pregnancy. It is generally given at least 4 weeks before pregnancy and is continued up to 3 months of pregnancy.
It is recommended not to take Raricap L Suspension along with tea, coffee, or milk, and even eggs as the body might absorb less iron supplements if you take them together, which may reduce the effectiveness of Raricap L Suspension .
Raricap L Suspension is best absorbed if taken on an empty stomach. But in some patients, it causes an upset stomach if taken empty stomach. So, please take it as suggested by your doctor if you have an upset stomach problem.
Folic acid is rich in various foods like broccoli, brussels sprouts, liver, spinach, and asparagus, while iron is found in dark-green leafy vegetables, fortified cereals, nuts, and dried fruit. To maintain a healthy and balanced diet, include all major food groups, especially those containing vitamin c, as it aids iron absorption.
The side effects of Raricap L Suspension are constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea. If any of these persist or worsen consult your doctor.
