Calcitriol is a man-made form of Vitamin D3 and treats calcium deficiency. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the stomach. Calcium carbonate is a mineral that is used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Magnesium is a mineral that promotes the normal functioning of muscles. Soya isoflavones work by improving the health of the heart and strengthening bones in postmenopausal women. Vitamin K2 7 helps to maintain bone density.

  • Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese, or milk-based custard in your diet.

  • Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables, and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.

You are not recommended to take Bio-D3 Fem Capsule if you have hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood) as it may worsen the condition. However, the levels of calcium and vitamin D may be checked before starting treatment with Bio-D3 Fem Capsule .

Bio-D3 Fem Capsule may cause hypercalciuria (excess calcium in the urine) if used in excess doses. Therefore, to prevent such a condition, take Bio-D3 Fem Capsule in doses and for a duration as advised by a doctor.

You are not recommended to take Bio-D3 Fem Capsule with levothyroxine as co-administration of these two medicines at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of levothyroxine. However, if you are supposed to take both medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 4 hours between taking Bio-D3 Fem Capsule and levothyroxine.

Bio-D3 Fem Capsule is not recommended for patients having kidney stones as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have kidney stones or any other kidney problems before taking Bio-D3 Fem Capsule .

If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, please consult your doctor as they will only recommend it if the benefits are greater than the risks. Always seek medical advice before taking any supplement during pregnancy.
