You have likely got acute diarrhea, and 11 motions is significant. Keep sipping ORS, avoid heavy foods, and don't take more Eldoper if motions are very frequent or you have fever/blood in stool. If symptoms don't settle in a few hours or you feel weak/dizzy, get medical care.

Namaste! Here's some information about the medications you mentioned and advice for your current situation.

  • Eldoper (Loperamide 2mg) is used to reduce diarrhea by slowing down bowel movements, helping to control frequent loose stools.

  • Norflox 400 (Norfloxacin 400mg) is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, including some types of gastrointestinal infections.

  • Taking Loperamide and Norfloxacin together is generally considered safe when prescribed by a doctor, as they work differently: one controls diarrhea symptoms, and the other treats infection.

  • However, since you have had 11 motions since 11:00 AM, this is a significant amount of diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration and may indicate a serious infection.

  • It is important to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids with electrolytes.

  • If you experience symptoms like fever, blood in stools, severe abdominal pain, or worsening condition, seek medical attention immediately.

  • Avoid self-medicating further without consulting a doctor, as some causes of diarrhea require specific treatments.

  • If symptoms persist beyond 24-48 hours or worsen, please consult a doctor promptly for proper evaluation and management.

For urgent concerns, you may contact emergency services. Please see a gastroenterologist or your primary care doctor for a thorough assessment. To narrow down potential causes, we will need some more information. Please share your age and gender.

Your current situation, such as not passing stool for 3 days, hardened stool on X-ray, and recurring pain, can happen when medicines used to stop loose motions slow down the gut too much. Passing gas is a positive sign that the bowel is still moving, but the hardened stool can still cause discomfort and pain. This usually improves with proper hydration, diet, and medical treatment. However, since you are still having repeated pain, it is important to stay in touch with your doctor for close monitoring to make sure there is no blockage or other complications.
