yeast infection and urinary tract infection. How to proceed

Asked by Female, 35 ยท 15 days ago

While a urinary tract infection (UTI) typically results in burning when urinating, lower abdominal pain, or frequent urination, a yeast infection typically produces itching, thick white discharge, and irritation. Avoid wearing too tight clothing, drink lots of water, keep the region dry and clean, and avoid self-starting medications because they can exacerbate yeast infections. After reviewing your symptoms and urine test results, a doctor may recommend antibiotics for the UTI and antifungal medication for the yeast infection. If you have a fever, blood in your urine, severe pain, pregnancy, or symptoms that have persisted for more than a few days, please visit a doctor as soon as possible.

Your current situation, such as not passing stool for 3 days, hardened stool on X-ray, and recurring pain, can happen when medicines used to stop loose motions slow down the gut too much. Passing gas is a positive sign that the bowel is still moving, but the hardened stool can still cause discomfort and pain. This usually improves with proper hydration, diet, and medical treatment. However, since you are still having repeated pain, it is important to stay in touch with your doctor for close monitoring to make sure there is no blockage or other complications.
