Wyrob Tablet

Wyrob Tablet is used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and protozoa. The detailed uses of Ornidazole are as follows:

• Treatment of amoebiasis: Effective in treating intestinal and liver infections caused by Entamoeba histolytica.
• Management of Giardiasis: Used to treat infections caused by Giardia lamblia.
• Treatment of trichomoniasis: Aids in managing sexually transmitted infections caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.
• Bacterial vaginosis: Treats vaginal infections caused by an overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria.
• Surgical prophylaxis: Used before surgeries to avoid postoperative infections, particularly in the abdomen or genitourinary system.

Wyrob Tablet belongs to a class of antibacterial medications called 'nitroimidazoles', primarily used to treat infections caused by protozoan bacteria. It is used to treat amoebiasis, chlamydiosis, giardia infection, trichomonas infection, vaginal, urinary tract, intestinal and post-operative infections. Wyrob Tablet contains 'Ornidazole' that works by damaging the DNA of the infection-causing agent and inhibiting its growth. Thereby, it treats infections.

• Wyrob Tablet should be taken after a meal or as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow Wyrob Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush or break it.

• Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach, which help in digestion. Therefore, you are advised to take foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto and cheese.
• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.

Do not take Wyrob Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over-the-counter products (vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions. Consult your doctor before taking Wyrob Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption while on treatment with Wyrob Tablet and for three days after the treatment. Wyrob Tablet may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so be cautious while driving.
