Tolmake Trio Tablet is used to treat muscle spasms. It consists of Aceclofenac (NSAID), Tolperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Tolperisone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant. It works on the spinal cord and brain to relieve contraction or muscle stiffness. It also increases the supply of blood to the muscles. On the other hand, both Aceclofenac and Paracetamol inhibit cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, fewer PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

About Tolmake Trio Tablet

Tolmake Trio Tablet is a combination medicine that contains pain relievers and muscle relaxants, and is used to treat pain associated with muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort caused by the muscle spasm. A muscle spasm occurs due to involuntary contractions of a muscle. A spasm may be a muscle cramp or feel tight or stiff, like a knot.

Tolmake Trio Tablet contains Aceclofenac (NSAID), Tolperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Tolperisone works on the spinal cord and brain centres to relieve muscle stiffness without decreasing strength. It increases the supply of blood to the muscles. This reduces pain and improves the movement of muscles. Aceclofenac and Paracetamol block prostaglandins' (PGs) that cause pain and swelling.

Take Tolmake Trio Tablet as prescribed. You may experience common side effects, such as nausea (feeling sick), constipation, flatulence, diarrhoea, dizziness, sleepiness, sweating, abdominal pain, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

What if I have taken an overdose of Tolmake Trio Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Tolmake Trio Tablet may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, seizures, coma, pulmonary edema, arrest, metabolic and respiratory acidosis, electrolyte abnormalities, somnolence, coma, seizures, agitation, severe cardiovascular and respiratory signs and symptoms. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Exercising regularly helps in muscle stretching that is less likely to spasm, tear and sprain. Mild exercises such as jogging and walking are helpful for muscle stretching.
  • Massages can also be helpful.
  • Avoid freezing and hot temperatures.
  • Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes; instead, wear loose garments.
  • Rest well and get plenty of sleep.
  • Change your position at least every two hours to avoid developing pressure sores.
  • Hot or cold therapy can help treat muscle spasms. Apply an ice pack or hot pack on the muscle for 15-20minutes.
