About Rlax TD Tablet

Rlax TD Tablet is a combination medicine that contains pain relievers and muscle relaxants. It is used to treat spasticity (muscle stiffness and spasms) associated with pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. A muscle spasm occurs due to involuntary contractions of a muscle. A spasm may be a muscle cramp or feel tight or stiff, like a knot.

Rlax TD Tablet contains Diclofenac (NSAID) and Tizanidine (muscle relaxant). Diclofenac blocks prostaglandins (PGs) that cause pain and swelling. Tizanidine works on the centres of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements. As a result, Rlax TD Tablet helps to reduce muscle stiffness, spasms, and pain.

Rlax TD Tablet is prescribed medication, and it should be taken as directed by the doctor. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as feeling or being sick (vomiting), diarrhoea, headaches, drowsiness and ringing in your ears (tinnitus), fluctuations in blood pressure, dry mouth, stomach upsets, and decrease or increase in heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

• Keep Rlax TD Tablet out of reach and sight of children.
• Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

What if I have taken an overdose of Rlax TD Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Rlax TD Tablet may include nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, a slow or abnormal heartbeat, dizziness, small pupils, difficulty breathing, coma, restlessness or sleepiness, and ulcer in your stomach or gut. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Rlax TD Tablet if you are allergic to its components. Inform your doctor about all your medical conditions, especially if you have/ had hepatotoxicity, hypotension, renal dysfunction or renal toxicities, asthma, fluid retention, GI toxicity, rash, or thrombosis (blood clots). It is not recommended to take Rlax TD Tablet during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding. Rlax TD Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Rlax TD Tablet is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Do not stop taking Rlax TD Tablet unless your doctor tells you to. Dry mouth could be a side-effect of Rlax TD Tablet . Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might stimulate saliva and prevent mouth drying.

Taking Rlax TD Tablet can elevate symptoms of gastric ulcer and bleeding. So, talk to your doctor before taking Rlax TD Tablet if you have gastrointestinal bleeding or other bleeding problems before using Rlax TD Tablet .

It is not advisable to take Rlax TD Tablet and ciprofloxacin simultaneously. Inform your doctor if you are now using or have recently used ciprofloxacin. Your doctor may advise you to take these two medications at different times.
