About Neomic D Suspension

Neomic D Suspension is used to provide symptomatic relief from childhood migraine, tension headaches and fever associated with nausea and vomiting. Migraine is a common disorder associated with multiple symptoms but frequently causes headaches of varying intensity, usually along with nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. Nausea is a feeling of uneasiness in the stomach that often comes before vomiting.

Neomic D Suspension is a combination of two drugs: Domperidone (dopamine antagonist) and Paracetamol (analgesic and antipyretic). Domperidone works by blocking dopamine receptors that stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain. Thus, it helps to prevent nausea and vomiting. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and fever.

Use Neomic D Suspension as prescribed. Your doctor will recommend how often your child needs to take Neomic D Suspension based on his/her medical condition. In some cases, Neomic D Suspension may cause side effects such as dry mouth, diarrhoea, drowsiness, or headache. Most of these side effects of Neomic D Suspension do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

Neomic D Suspension can be given on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal.
Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication, or use it as per the labelled instructions.
Shake the bottle well before each use.
