Grenil Paed Susp is used to relieve pain and fever along with nausea or vomiting in children. The detailed uses of Grenil Paed Susp are as follows:

• Fever with nausea or vomiting: Helps cool down your child's body temperature while settling their stomach to prevent vomiting.
• Pain accompanied by sickness: Relieves mild-to-moderate physical discomforts, such as headaches or teething pain, while keeping nausea under control.
• Post-vaccination discomfort: Soothes mild fever and body aches that occur after childhood immunisations (note: paediatric guidelines recommend using this medicine only after symptoms actually develop, rather than as a routine preventive dose before vaccination).

Grenil Paed Susp is used to provide symptomatic relief from childhood migraine, tension headaches and fever associated with nausea and vomiting. Grenil Paed Susp contains Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone works by blocking dopamine receptors that stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain. Thus, it helps to prevent nausea and vomiting. Also, Domperidone acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the movement of the stomach and upper gastrointestinal tract, allowing food to move more quickly through the stomach and into the intestine. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and fever.

• Grenil Paed Susp can be given on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication, or use it as per the labelled instructions.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Give the prescribed dose to your child by mouth using the measuring cup provided with the pack.
• Avoid using regular household spoons, as they may not measure the dose correctly.

• Hydration: Offer your child frequent, small sips of water, clear broths, or oral rehydration solutions to replace fluids lost from vomiting or sweating.
• Easy-to-Digest Foods: Once the stomach settles, offer bland, easy-to-digest foods like crackers, toast, rice, or applesauce. Avoid giving greasy, fried, or highly sugary foods.
• Comfortable Clothing: Keep your child dressed in lightweight, breathable clothing and keep the room at a comfortable, cool temperature to help manage fever naturally.
• Rest: Ensure your child gets plenty of quiet bed rest to help their body recover.

• Check the Expiry Date: Always check the expiry date printed on the bottle before giving the medicine to your child.
• Check the Liquid: Visually check the liquid inside the bottle; do not use it if it looks clumpy, has changed colour, or if particles do not dissolve after a thorough shake.
• Avoid Other Medicines: Never give this medicine alongside any other over-the-counter cough, cold, pain, or fever medicines without checking with a professional, as many contain similar ingredients that could cause an accidental overdose.
• Monitor Symptoms: Seek immediate medical care if your child's condition suddenly worsens, if they show signs of severe dehydration (such as no wet nappies or lack of tears), if fever lasts for more than 3 days, or if vomiting continues for more than 24 hours.
