Jolvig Oral Solution 500 mg Sachet 1's belongs to a group of medications called anticonvulsants. Vigabatrin is used alone or with other medicines to treat refractory complex partial seizures in children two years of age and older and infantile spasms in children. Seizures are considered refractory when two or more AEDs (anti-epileptic drugs) have failed to control the seizures. Infantile spasms, sometimes called West syndrome, are a type of seizure that occurs in babies.

Jolvig Oral Solution 500 mg Sachet 1's contains Vigabatrin. It increases the amount of the chemical called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. Low levels of GABA cause some seizures. When Vigabatrin increases GABA, it reduces the likelihood of a seizure.

• Infantile Spasms (West Syndrome): Jolvig Oral Solution 500 mg Sachet 1's is primarily used to treat infantile spasms in babies aged 1 month to 2 years. It works by increasing levels of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a calming neurotransmitter in the brain, which helps reduce abnormal electrical activity and spasms.
• Refractory Complex Partial Seizures (CPS): Jolvig Oral Solution 500 mg Sachet 1's is used in combination with other antiepileptic drugs to manage complex partial seizures in children aged 2 years and older who have not responded well to other treatments. It helps stabilize brain activity and reduce seizure frequency.

• Jolvig Oral Solution 500 mg Sachet 1's can be administered with or without food as directed by the doctor.
