Eclo-3 Ointment is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is a skin condition associated with inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches. Psoriasis is a skin disease in which skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales.

Eclo-3 Ointment contains Clobetasol propionate (corticosteroid) and Salicylic acid (peeling agent). Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (that softens, separates, and causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin). It increases the amount of moisture in the skin and dissolves the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate use of Eclo-3 Ointment that suits your infection. Common side effects of Eclo-3 Ointment include itching, dryness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive to Eclo-3 Ointment or any other medications. Do not use Eclo-3 Ointment on open wounds, blisters, and lesions. Please do not cover the affected areas with a dressing or bandage unless advised. Eclo-3 Ointment is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Let your doctor know if you have liver/kidney diseases, diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), and blood circulation problems before starting Eclo-3 Ointment. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Eclo-3 Ointment.

• Treatment of Psoriasis: Eclo-3 Ointment helps manage psoriasis, a condition that causes red, scaly skin patches, by reducing inflammation and slowing down excessive skin cell growth.
• Eczema Relief: Eclo-3 Ointment provides relief for eczema, calming itchy and inflamed skin with its anti-inflammatory properties, which soothe irritation and reduce itching.
• Treating Dermatitis: Eclo-3 Ointment treats various inflammatory skin conditions, including contact dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis, by reducing redness, swelling, and discomfort caused by allergic reactions or irritants.

• Apply Eclo-3 Ointment once or twice a day, as directed by your doctor. Use it at the same time each day for effective results. • Apply a thin layer with clean and dry hands on the skin's affected areas. You can also apply it with clean cotton wool or a gauze swab. Gently rub the medicine into the skin. • Wash your hands before and after using Eclo-3 Ointment on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.

Eclo-3 Ointment is for topical (for skin) use only. Eclo-3 Ointment is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have blood circulation problems, active skin infections, and chickenpox. Prolonged use of steroid containing medicines leads to skin sensitisation and the development of resistant organisms. Do not cover the affected areas with occlusive dressings while using Eclo-3 Ointment. Avoid applying Eclo-3 Ointment on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Topical usage of corticosteroids like Clobetasol propionate in pregnant women should be used with caution under a doctor's supervision. Let your doctor know if you are a lactating mother before using Eclo-3 Ointment. If you apply Eclo-3 Ointment to breasts or nipples for treatment, wash it off while nursing your baby. Do not go near naked flames since the fabric that comes in contact with Eclo-3 Ointment may burn easily. Washing the fabric may decrease the risk, but it does not remove the product completely. Do not store Eclo-3 Ointment above 25°C.
