About Doxt-SL Capsule

Doxt-SL Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections in the urinary tract, intestine, lungs, eye infections, gum infections, and sexually transmitted infections (like gonorrhoea and syphilis). Bacterial infections are caused by the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body.

Doxt-SL Capsule contains Doxycycline and Lactic acid bacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential proteins, thereby killing the bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria are microorganisms that help restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut.

In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and stomach upset. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. Talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in Doxt-SL Capsule . Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Doxt-SL Capsule may cause dizziness, so be cautious while driving. Let your doctor know about your medicines to rule out side effects/interactions.

Doxt-SL Capsule contains Doxycycline and Lactobacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential bacterial proteins, thereby killing the bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria are microorganisms that help restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have been upset by infections or antibiotic use. Together, Doxt-SL Capsule helps in treating bacterial infections.

It is recommended to complete the course of Doxt-SL Capsule even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to even more severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).

Doxt-SL Capsule is unlikely to cause diarrhoea as it contains Lactobacillus, a friendly bacterium. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have been upset by infections or antibiotic use. Thereby, helps in preventing diarrhoea.

Doxt-SL Capsule contains doxycycline, which might make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen whilst going outside.

Avoid taking iron supplements, calcium supplements, multivitamins, laxatives or antacids along with Doxt-SL Capsule . Maintain a 2-hour gap between Doxt-SL Capsule and other medicines.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic medication belonging to the tetracycline class. Used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and sexually transmitted infections. Meanwhile, Doxt-SL Capsule is a combination medication that contains doxycycline and Lactobacillus. The Lactobacillus helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the intestine, which antibiotics can disrupt.

Doxt-SL Capsule should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Generally, it can be taken with or without food. Still, taking it at a fixed time each day is essential to ensure better efficacy.

Doxt-SL Capsule is a combination medication that contains doxycycline and Lactobacillus. It is primarily used to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and sexually transmitted infections. The Lactobacillus component helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the intestine, which antibiotics can disrupt.

It is recommended that milk or dairy products be avoided for 2-3 hours before and after taking the medication. This is because the calcium in milk can bind to doxycycline, reducing its absorption and effectiveness.

The recommended storage condition for Doxt-SL Capsule is to store it in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. It should be kept in their original packaging or container to maintain their potency.

You can take it with or without food. But you're less likely to feel sick if you have it with food.
