About Ascabiol Emulsion

Ascabiol Emulsion is used to treat wounds, cuts, and minor burns, and protect against infections. In addition to this, it is also used to treat scabies (a contagious, intensely itchy skin condition caused by a tiny, burrowing mite) and pediculosis (a condition in which tiny insects infest the scalp).

Ascabiol Emulsion contains Cetrimide and Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane). Cetrimide has antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Cetrimide destroys or damages the cell membranes of bacteria; this eventually results in the death of bacteria. Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane) works by killing the lice and the eggs and mites of scabies. 

The dose and duration will be prescribed by the doctor depending upon your medical condition. The most common side effects of Ascabiol Emulsion are skin rash, burning, itching, irritation of the skin, tingling, and numbness of the skin, as well as dizziness in some cases. Most of these side effects of Ascabiol Emulsion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Ascabiol Emulsion or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Ascabiol Emulsion is for external use only. Avoid contact of Ascabiol Emulsion with nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case Ascabiol Emulsion comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.• Apply a thin layer of the lotion on the affected areas. Typically, it's left on for 8-12 hours before washing off with warm water.• Avoid contact with the nose, mouth or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. Wash your hands after using Ascabiol Emulsion to prevent the spread of infection.

Though overdose is unlikely due to low systemic absorption, it is advised to avoid exceeding the recommended dose. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any unusual symptoms.
