About Airtiof Insta Rotacap

Airtiof Insta Rotacap is a respiratory medication primarily used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), like bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes) and emphysema (shortness of breath). It may also be used to treat asthma. COPD is a group of lung diseases that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs.

Airtiof Insta Rotacap contains Formoterol (bronchodilator) and Tiotropium (anticholinergic). Airtiof Insta Rotacap works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, thereby improving breathing and reducing symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.

The common side effects of Airtiof Insta Rotacap include headache, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, sore throat, and hoarseness. Most of these side effects of Airtiof Insta Rotacap do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

COPD treatment: Airtiof Insta Rotacap is highly effective in managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a progressive lung condition. It helps alleviate symptoms such as breathlessness and wheezing, thereby ensuring better respiratory function.

Inflammation control: Airtiof Insta Rotacap is effective in reducing swelling in the airways, which makes it easier for individuals with respiratory conditions to breathe.

Directions for Use

  • It is recommended to take Airtiof Insta Rotacap twice a day or as advised by your doctor.
  • It is a capsule with powdered medication which is placed in a Rotahaler/Transhaler, a plastic inhalation device that releases the medication when you breathe. The capsule should be placed at the base of the rotahaler/transhaler, and completely twist the mouthpiece until you hear a click sound. Then, breathe in through the mouthpiece deeply and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Remove the device and breathe out normally.
  • Remove the inhaler and hold your breath for a few seconds, then breathe out slowly.
  • Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after using it to avoid fungal infections in the mouth and throat.
  • It is for inhalation only. Do not swallow the capsule.

What if I have taken an overdose of Airtiof Insta Rotacap

Do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. If you suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Airtiof Insta Rotacap if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney diseases, high blood pressure, hypokalaemia (low potassium levels in the blood), aneurysm (swelling of an artery), pheochromocytoma (adrenal gland tumour), hyperadrenocorticism (high levels of cortisol), eye disorders like cataract and glaucoma, chickenpox or measles, immune system problem, seizure (fits), osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones) or diabetes. Special precautions should be taken in patients with a fungal, bacterial, parasitic, or viral infection and tuberculosis since nasal or inhaled corticosteroids can cause secondary infections. Airtiof Insta Rotacap can cause a rise in blood glucose levels. Hence, monitor your blood glucose levels regularly and inform your doctor if you already have diabetes before using Airtiof Insta Rotacap . Airtiof Insta Rotacap may affect the unborn baby during pregnancy. Please let your doctor know if you plan to become pregnant, are already pregnant, or are a lactating mother. Airtiof Insta Rotacap is not recommended for children below five years of age.
