Spasmonil Tablet is used in the treatment of spasmodic pain and discomfort due to biliary colic, intestinal colic, and renal colic. It also helps alleviate the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Spasmonil Tablet works by relaxing the muscles and inhibiting natural gut movements, thereby relieving muscle spasms and cramps in the stomach and intestine, abdominal pain, constipation and other gastrointestinal discomforts.

Antacids may lower the absorption of Spasmonil Tablet and reduce its efficacy. It is advised to administer antacid and Spasmonil Tablet at different times only if prescribed by your doctor. If you are supposed to administer antacids after meals, please give Spasmonil Tablet to your child before meals.

If your child is suffering from IBS, limit giving high-fibre foods, foods and drinks that contain chocolate, caffeine, fructose, or sorbitol, carbonated drinks, and fried and fatty foods. Do not give large meals. Instead, give small and simpler meals at regular intervals, including fresh fruits and vegetables in your child’s diet.

The use of Spasmonil Tablet can cause diarrhoea in some cases. In the case of diarrhoea, increase the amount of fluids your child is given, like plenty of water. If your child's diarrhoea persists, contact your doctor.

Yes, the use of Spasmonil Tablet can cause dry mouth. If your child feels excessively thirsty, increase giving fluids, and do not give them spicy and salty food.
