Medicinal Benefits:
Panozid-ISR Capsule is used to treat acidity, GERD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers.
Panozid-ISR Capsule is a combination of two drugs, namely: Pantoprazole and Itopride. Pantoprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, responsible for the production of acid. Itopride works by accelerating gastric emptying and improves gastric sensitivity and tension. Together, Panozid-ISR Capsule helps in preventing acid reflux, thereby provides relief from acidity.
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Panozid-ISR Capsule for 14 days. Do not take Panozid-ISR Capsule for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Panozid-ISR Capsule . Drink enough fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you experience severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.
Panozid-ISR Capsule may increase the risk of osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones). This mainly occurs in people taking higher doses of Panozid-ISR Capsule for longer durations. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
Take Panozid-ISR Capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor. To avoid heartburn and acid reflux, it is recommended to take Panozid-ISR Capsule 30 to 60 minutes before food.
