My daughter is 14 years old, and I am 33 years old. We have both used Ivrea Shampoo. Could it cause any side effects at our ages?
Ivrea Shampoo contains ivermectin and is used to treat head lice. It is generally well tolerated when used correctly. At 14 years of age, your daughter is within the age group in which topical ivermectin for head lice may be used, while adults can also use it as directed. Common side effects may include scalp irritation, redness, dryness, itching, or a burning sensation. These effects are generally mild and temporary. Avoid getting the shampoo into the eyes, mouth, or broken skin, and use only the recommended amount. Do not use it more often than advised, as this may increase irritation. If either of you develops severe skin irritation, swelling, breathing difficulty, or persistent symptoms after use, stop using it and seek medical advice.
