Since I am not feeling well 10 days after my second dose of Covishield, should I get a D-Dimer blood test to check for blood clots, can I safely take aspirin or Disprin for a headache to prevent clots, and what are the common warning signs of vaccine-induced blood clotting (VITT)?
Please don't get a D-dimer test on your own, as it is best interpreted by a doctor. Also, avoid taking aspirin or Disprin to prevent clots, as self-medicating is not recommended and can carry risks. Instead, monitor how you feel. Seek medical care if you experience warning signs of VITT, which typically appear 4 to 30 days post-vaccine. These include a severe, worsening headache not relieved by paracetamol, blurred vision, chest or abdominal pain, shortness of breath, leg swelling, or unusual bruising. Please consult a doctor to safely evaluate your headache.
