I have pain above my eye with a small pimple-like swelling, and have taken Eros CV 625 and Diclotal MR for 2 days, but still have discomfort. What should I do?
Pain above the eye with a small pimple-like swelling can be caused by a skin infection, a blocked oil gland, an insect bite, sinus irritation, or early eyelid swelling, such as a stye. Eros-CV 625 and Diclotal-MR may help depending on the cause, but infections or swelling near the eye sometimes take several days to improve fully. Avoid touching, squeezing, or rubbing the swelling because this may increase irritation and spread infection. A clean warm compress over the affected area for short periods may help reduce discomfort and improve drainage gradually. Proper rest, hydration, and avoiding excessive screen strain may also support recovery. Because the swelling is close to the eye, it should be observed carefully. Increasing redness, swelling, or pain around the eye may sometimes indicate a deeper infection requiring medical review. Avoid using random eye drops or creams without proper examination. Consult a doctor soon if swelling increases, fever develops, vision becomes blurred, pus appears, or pain becomes severe despite treatment during the next few days.
