If I have a history of irregular periods, had protected sex, received multiple negative urine and beta hCG blood pregnancy tests, and still have not started bleeding eight days after finishing a course of Deviry 10mg, do I need to take another pregnancy test?
Since you have had multiple negative urine tests and a highly accurate negative beta hCG blood test, you do not need to take another pregnancy test. Pregnancy is extremely unlikely. After finishing Deviry (medroxyprogesterone), it is very common for withdrawal bleeding to take up to 10 to 14 days to start, especially with a history of irregular periods. Sometimes, if estrogen levels are low, bleeding may be very light or delayed. I suggest waiting a few more days. If you still haven't started bleeding after two weeks, please consult your gynecologist to discuss the next steps.
