Your normal heart tests and blood sugar are highly reassuring. The throat sensation could be linked to your medications or an underlying condition. Telmisartan (for blood pressure) can sometimes cause throat irritation or, very rarely, allergic swelling. Alternatively, acid reflux, the reason you likely take rabeprazole, often causes a feeling of tightness or a lump in the throat. Atorvastatin is unlikely to cause this. Please consult your prescribing doctor to review these medications. If you develop sudden swelling of your face, lips, or tongue, or have acute difficulty breathing, seek emergency care immediately. Otherwise, a routine consultation will help resolve this safely.
