About Vofen Gel

Vofen Gel is a topical pain-relieving medicine used to treat localised pain, swelling, and stiffness in your muscles and joints. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as arthritis, muscle strains, and joint sprains. This medicine works directly at the site of discomfort to provide targeted relief.

To get the best results, you should apply Vofen Gel consistently at the same times each day as directed by your doctor. It should be applied directly to clean, dry skin and gently rubbed into the affected area. Combining this topical treatment with gentle physical therapy and low-impact exercises can help support your physical recovery.

While using Vofen Gel, you may notice mild skin irritation, redness, or itching at the application site. These side effects are usually harmless and go away on their own, but you must stop using the gel and consult your doctor immediately if you experience severe skin rashes, hives, or breathing difficulties.

Do not use this medicine if you have open wounds, cut skin, or active skin infections on the area you need to treat. Talk to your doctor before starting Vofen Gel if you have a history of asthma, severe allergies, or if you have had negative skin reactions to other pain relievers in the past.

Avoid applying other skin products on the same area to prevent interactions that might stop Vofen Gel from working properly. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or elderly, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine to ensure it is safe for your specific situation.

Uses of Vofen Gel

Key Benefits

FAQs

Vofen Gel belongs to the class of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), which are used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, stiff neck, dislocations, joint pain, lumbago (lower back pain), tendinitis (inflammation of the tendon), and tenosynovitis (inflammation of the tendon on the thumb side of the wrist).
Vofen Gel works by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Thus, Vofen Gel helps provide relief from pain.
Vofen Gel is used to reduce and relieve pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis. It is an auto-immune disease (the body's immune system attacks its tissue) which leads to joint pain and damage.
Avoid using Vofen Gel with other topical products such as cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, moisturisers, insect repellent creams, and other gels.
Do not apply external heat or cover the treated skin with dressings after applying Vofen Gel. Covering the skin or applying heat might increase the amount of the drug absorbed into the skin, leading to unpleasant side effects.
Do not apply Vofen Gel on wounds, skin injuries, irritated skin, skin abrasions, rashes, and infections. Apply Vofen Gel on healthy skin only.
It is best to avoid using Vofen Gel during pregnancy, especially during the last three months, as it may affect the developing baby. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to discuss safer options for pain relief.
If the gel gets into your eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly with plenty of clean, cool water. If you experience persistent burning, pain, or vision changes, contact your doctor right away.
Because Vofen Gel is applied to the skin, very little of the medicine enters your bloodstream, making stomach upset highly unlikely. However, if you have a history of stomach ulcers, talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
The frequency of application depends on your specific condition and your doctor's recommendations. Always check your prescription label for exact instructions, and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
