Your doctor may prescribe Vizylac GG Oral Drops to help manage the following conditions:

• Infectious diarrhoea: Helps manage sudden, watery stools caused by stomach bugs or viral infections by supporting the gut's natural barrier.
• Antibiotic-associated diarrhoea: Helps prevent or manage the loose stools that often occur when antibiotics disrupt the natural balance of friendly bacteria in the gut.
• Infantile colic: Used to help ease excessive crying, fussiness, and trapped gas associated with digestive discomfort in infants.

When used as directed as part of your treatment plan, Vizylac GG Oral Drops may provide the following benefits:

• Symptom relief: By helping to restore gut balance, it can reduce the frequency and duration of loose stools, helping your child feel more comfortable.
• Improved digestive comfort: Helps ease trapped gas and abdominal bloating, which may lead to a more settled stomach and fewer crying episodes in infants.
• Support during antibiotic treatment: Helps protect the digestive tract from the common stomach upset and diarrhoea associated with necessary antibiotic courses.

• Vizylac GG Oral Drops can be given with or without food as advised by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication, or give it as per the labelled instructions.
• Administer the advised dose to your child using the dropper.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Maintain hydration: Keep your child well-hydrated by offering frequent, small sips of water, oral rehydration solutions (ORS), or breast milk/formula to replace fluids lost during diarrhoea.
• Offer simple foods: If your child is eating solid foods, offer simple, bland options like bananas, rice, or toast, which are easy on an upset stomach.
• Space from antibiotics: If giving Vizylac GG Oral Drops alongside suggested antibiotics, always space the two treatments at least two hours apart so the antibiotic does not kill the beneficial bacteria in the drops.
• Try gentle massage: If treating infantile colic, try gentle tummy massages or bicycling your baby's legs to help ease trapped gas.

• Inspect the liquid: A slight cloudiness is normal after shaking, but do not use the drops if you notice unusual discolouration or floating particles.
• Avoid contamination: Do not allow the tip of the dropper to touch your child's mouth, fingers, or any other surface to keep the remaining liquid in the bottle sterile.
• Check the temperature: Never mix these drops into steaming hot bottles of formula or boiling water, as heat kills the active bacteria and renders the medicine ineffective.
• Consult for severe illness: If your child has a central venous catheter or a severely compromised immune system, do not use Vizylac GG Oral Drops without explicit clearance from your doctor.
