Truferin-XT Tablet is a vitamin supplement which is used to treat nutritional deficiencies, iron deficiency anaemia, iron deficiency due to low intake of iron, anaemia due to menorrhagia, and iron/nutritional deficiency that occurs during pregnancy and lactation. About Truferin-XT Tablet

Truferin-XT Tablet is used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies such as iron deficiency anaemia, iron deficiency due to low intake of iron, anaemia due to menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding), anaemia associated with hookworm infestation, peptic ulcers, piles, weakness, post-operative and post-traumatic conditions, iron/nutritional deficiency that occurs during pregnancy and lactation or during healing (recovery).

Truferin-XT Tablet is a combination of four supplements: Iron, Folic acid, Elemental Zinc, and Methylcobalamin. Iron helps transport oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid is necessary for various bodily functions, such as nucleotide biosynthesis and remethylation of homocysteine. Elemental Zinc helps in the growth and development of body tissues. Methylcobalamin helps properly function the brain and nerves and the production of red blood cells. Together, Truferin-XT Tablet helps in treating nutritional deficiencies.

Take Truferin-XT Tablet as recommended. You may experience common side effects such as stomach upset, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Truferin-XT Tablet if you are allergic to any components present in it. Pregnant and breastfeeding women can take Truferin-XT Tablet if the doctor advises. Truferin-XT Tablet should not be given to children unless recommended by a doctor. It is unknown if alcohol interacts with Truferin-XT Tablet ; however, limiting or cutting down the consumption is advisable.

What if I have taken an overdose of Truferin-XT Tablet

Do not take more than the suggested dose of Truferin-XT Tablet as it may cause overdose. If you suspect you have taken overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Truferin-XT Tablet , do not take it. If the doctor suggests, pregnant and nursing women can take Truferin-XT Tablet . Consult your doctor before taking Truferin-XT Tablet if you have heart disease, diabetes, bleeding disorders, stomach/intestinal problems, kidney or liver problems. Children should not be given Truferin-XT Tablet unless a doctor recommends it. Truferin-XT Tablet may cause constipation. Eat fibre-rich food and drink plenty of fluids if you experience constipation. Consult your doctor if you have severe constipation.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Truferin-XT Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended it. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Truferin-XT Tablet .

Truferin-XT Tablet can be taken with antacids if recommended by the doctor. However, maintain a gap of 2 hours between Truferin-XT Tablet and antacid medicines, as taking them together might decrease their effectiveness.

Foods rich in folic acid include leafy greens like spinach, and kale. While liver, red meat (especially beef), and legumes such as lentils, chickpeas, and beans provide iron. For zinc, foods like pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, oysters, and chickpeas are beneficial. Vitamin B12 can be found in liver, shellfish (such as clams, mussels, and oysters), eggs, fortified cereals, and fortified plant-based milks like soy or almond milk.

Truferin-XT Tablet may interact with certain medications such as antibiotics (such as chloramphenicol), inorganic compounds (like arsenic trioxide), antacids (such as esomeprazole), and hormonal treatments (like levothyroxine). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking Truferin-XT Tablet with other medicines to avoid possible interactions.

Truferin-XT Tablet causes side effects such as stomach upset, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. These does not require any medical treatment as they will gradually reduce over time. Please consult the doctor if these side effects persist for longer durations.
