About Tolagin Gel
Tolagin Gel is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure, or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments.
Tolagin Gel contains Diclofenac, Menthol, Methyl salicylate, and Alcohol. Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Menthol and Alcohol provide a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Tolagin Gel helps in providing relief from pain.
In some cases, Tolagin Gel may cause certain common side effects, such as application site reactions like itching, irritation, redness, and a burning sensation. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser prostaglandins are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Alcohol and Menthol provide a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Do not apply external heat or cover the treated skin with dressings after applying Tolagin Gel. Avoid wearing clothes or gloves for at least 10minutes after applying Tolagin Gel.
