FAQs

Similac Total Comfort Infant Formula is used as a nutritionally complete breast milk substitute for infants (0 to 6 months) experiencing mild digestive issues. It is specially designed with partially hydrolysed protein and low lactose to reduce fussiness, gas, and signs of colic.
Standard Similac uses intact cow's milk protein and standard lactose levels. Similac Total Comfort uses partially hydrolysed whey protein (broken down into smaller peptides) and significantly less lactose, making it a highly easy-to-digest baby formula for sensitive tummies.
Yes. Similac Total Comfort Stage 1 is specifically formulated to provide complete newborn nutrition for babies from birth up to 6 months of age, provided it has been recommended by your paediatrician.
No, it is actually formulated to prevent it. Because it contains a unique fat blend with absolutely zero palm olein oil, it is clinically shown to promote softer, more frequent stools and improve calcium absorption.
The standard mixing ratio is 1 level scoop of powder for every 30 ml (approx. 1 oz) of lukewarm, previously boiled water. Always use the specific scoop provided inside the 350g tin.
Similac Total Comfort has a low-lactose profile intended for babies with lactose sensitivity (which causes gas and fussiness). However, it is not meant for babies with Galactosemia or severe, clinically diagnosed lactose intolerance. Consult your doctor first.
Once mixed, you should feed your baby immediately. Any formula remaining in the bottle after a feed should be discarded within 1 hour. Do not refrigerate or reheat leftover formula.
Similac Total Comfort contains partially hydrolysed protein. The scientific process of breaking down the proteins gives the powder and the prepared milk a slightly distinct aroma and taste compared to standard intact-protein formulas. This is completely normal.
Yes, many mothers use it to supplement breastfeeding if advised by a healthcare professional. Because it is gentle on the tummy, it is often well-tolerated by babies transitioning or combination feeding.
Yes. It is fortified with a vital blend of DHA, ARA, Lutein, and Natural Vitamin E—nutrients that are naturally found in breast milk and are critical for optimal brain, cognitive, and visual development.
