Seboclear Lotion is used in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis. It contains cade oil, coaltar, ketoconazole and salicylic acid used in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis. Also, it helps in the control of scalp infections. Cade oil possesses antiseptic, antimicrobial and fungicidal properties and helps to fight skin infections. Salicylic acid and coal tar break down a protein known as keratin (that forms part of skin structure), which removes dead skin cell, peel dead cells of the skin, and softens skin. Thus, it helps in the treatment of psoriasis. Ketoconazole is an antifungal that damages fungal cell membranes and kills fungi.

About Seboclear Lotion

Seboclear Lotion belongs to a class of dermatological preparations used in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes redness and scaly patches on oily areas of the body, such as the scalp, face, back and upper chest. Psoriasis is a chronic (long-term) skin condition in which skin cells multiply faster than usual, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches.

Seboclear Lotion contains cade oil (antimicrobial agent), coaltar (keratolytic agent), ketoconazole (antifungal) and salicylic acid (peeling agent and anti-inflammatory). Cade oil possess antiseptic, antimicrobial and fungicidal properties and helps fight skin infections. Salicylic acid and coal tar are keratolytic agents that work by breaking down a protein known as keratin (that forms part of skin structure) which removes dead skin cell, peel dead cells of the skin, and softens skin. Thus, it helps in the treatment of psoriasis. Ketoconazole works by damaging fungal cell membranes that are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Thus, it kills fungi.

Use Seboclear Lotion as advised. Some people may experience mild skin irritation or itching, or peeling. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

What if I have taken an overdose of Seboclear Lotion

Do not apply Seboclear Lotion in large amounts or use it for a long time than recommended, as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects. Accidental oral ingestion could be harmful, seek immediate medical advice form the doctor.

Drug Warnings

If you are allergic to ketoconazole, salicylic acid, coal tar, cade oil or any other ingredients, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using Seboclear Lotion. It is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse with water thoroughly. Do not apply Seboclear Lotion on open wounds, windburned, sunburned, irritated, or dry skin.
