Povinanz 10% Solution is an antiseptic and disinfectant used to treat sore throat. It also treats and prevents infections of the mouth and throat lining, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and mouth ulcers. Povinanz 10% Solution is also used to cleanse the mouth for preparation of the oral mucosa before any injection, dental surgery or tooth extraction. 

Povinanz 10% Solution contains Povidone iodine. It works by releasing iodine, which effectively destroys bacteria, viruses, and fungi on contact. It helps reduce the number of harmful microbes and inflammation in conditions such as sore throats, mouth ulcers, and infections of the mouth and throat lining. This action supports quicker healing, alleviates pain, and helps prevent further infection.

Use Povinanz 10% Solution as directed by a doctor. Povinanz 10% Solution may cause common side effects, such as mouth or throat irritation, dryness of the mouth and throat, and a burning sensation. What if I have taken an overdose of Povinanz 10% Solution

Use Povinanz 10% Solution as directed by your doctor. Do not overuse it, as this may lead to side effects. If accidentally swallowed, Povinanz 10% Solution may cause stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, extreme thirst, or difficulty urinating. Seek medical help immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Povinanz 10% Solution if you are allergic to povidone-iodine. Let your doctor know if you have an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) or any other thyroid diseases (nodular colloid goitre, endemic goitre or Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), liver, or kidney problems. Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or are a lactating mother before using Povinanz 10% Solution . Povinanz 10% Solution should be used in children under twelve years of age only when the doctor has advised it.
