About Leofer Plus Tablet

Leofer Plus Tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues.

You are not recommended to take Leofer Plus Tablet with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Leofer Plus Tablet in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Leofer Plus Tablet with phenytoin.

Leofer Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients suffering from stomach ulcers, as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have an ulcer before taking Leofer Plus Tablet .

Leofer Plus Tablet may turn stools black. It is a common side effect of Leofer Plus Tablet and is not harmful.
