It is also used as a diagnostic aid to facilitate the removal of gas from the stomach and intestine prior to gastroscopy, sonography of the abdominal organs and spine, and X-ray examination.

Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip contains Simethicone, which works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating the expulsion of gas through flatus (belching). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

• Bloating: Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip reduces abdominal bloating and gas-related pressure.
• Relief from gas-related discomfort: Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip treats pain and discomfort caused by trapped gas in the digestive tract.
• Post-operative gas pain: Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip provides relief from gas-related pain following surgical procedures.
• Management of indigestion symptoms: Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip helps relieve discomfort associated with functional dyspepsia and excessive air swallowing.

In Colonoscopy:

• For low volume oral-sulphate solution: Mix 7.5 mL of Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip with each bottle of 500 mL of diluted Coloprep solution and consume as directed by the physician.
• For polyethylene glycol based preparations: Mix 7.5 mL of Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip with each 1 litre (15 mL of Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip for total 2 litres) of prepared colon cleansing solution and consume as directed by the physician.

In Capsule Endoscopy:

• Consume 15 mL of Gasofilm Oral Disintegrating Strip 30 minutes before capsule ingestion or as directed by the physician.
