About Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm

Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids (similar to vitamin A). Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm is used to treat acute promyelocytic leukaemia (a type of blood problem). Acute promyelocytic leukaemia is a blood cancer that causes a marked increase in a type of immature white blood cells known as promyelocytes in the blood and bone marrow. 

Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm contains Tretinoin, a form of vitamin A that works by reducing the excessive production of abnormal blood cells and stimulates the growth of normal, mature cells in blood and bone marrow. Thus, helps in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukaemia.

Take Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you how often you need to take Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm based on your medical condition. Some people may experience dizziness, headache, feeling tired, stomach pain, irregular heartbeat, hair loss, bone or joint pain, dry skin and changes in eyesight or hearing. Most of these side effects of Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Directions for Use

• Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm can be taken with meals to reduce any potential stomach upset and to improve absorption.• It is advised to take Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm twice daily; however, follow your doctor's recommendation regarding the dosage and duration.• Swallow the medicine as a whole with water.• Do not break, crush or chew it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm overdose symptoms can include redness, headache, flushing, stomach pain, dizziness, and loss of coordination in addition to cracked and sore lips. Seek immediate medical help if an overdose is suspected.

You are not recommended to take low-dose progestogens (mini pill) with Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm as their effectiveness may be reduced. However, discuss with your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this so that a different oral contraceptive may be prescribed.

Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm may cause painful swelling in the leg in a few patients. If you experience painful swelling in your leg, difficulty breathing or sudden chest pain while taking Flawlizo 0.025% Cream 20 gm, please inform your doctor immediately as these might be signs of a blood clot.
