About Ferivee Suspension
Ferivee Suspension belongs to a class of medications called haematinics used to treat anaemia (a condition in which the body lacks sufficient healthy red blood cells), which may occur due to a poor diet, poor nutrient absorption, or increased nutritional needs (such as during pregnancy).
Ferivee Suspension contains ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. It works by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCs) and haemoglobin (a protein in RBCs that carries oxygen) in the body. As a result, it helps deliver sufficient oxygen to all body tissues.
In some cases, you may experience nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, constipation, or heartburn. Most of these side effects are mild and typically resolve over time. However, if they persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Ferivee Suspension is contraindicated in patients allergic to its ingredients and those with iron overload disorders or non-iron-deficiency anaemia. Use caution in individuals with gastrointestinal conditions, such as ulcers or colitis, as iron may exacerbate these issues.

Ferivee Suspension belongs to a class of medications called haematinics, primarily used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy).
It is not recommended to take Ferivee Suspension with coffee, tea, or dairy products at the same time, as these may reduce the absorption of Ferivee Suspension . However, you may drink coffee or tea 2 hours before or after taking Ferivee Suspension .
Ferivee Suspension contains Ferrous ascorbate (an iron supplement) and folic acid (a form of vitamin B9). It works by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCS) and haemoglobin (a protein) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs is produced in the body, so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.
You are not recommended to take Ferivee Suspension with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Ferivee Suspension in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Ferivee Suspension with phenytoin.
Ferivee Suspension is not recommended for hemochromatosis (excessive iron in the body) patients as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have any iron overload conditions before taking Ferivee Suspension .
Ferivee Suspension provides essential iron and folic acid needed during pregnancy to prevent anaemia and support the baby’s healthy development, including reducing the risk of neural tube defects. If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, it is essential to consult your doctor before using Ferivee Suspension to ensure the correct dose and safe use.
