About Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder

Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder belongs to the class of medicines called antifungals, used to treat fungal skin infections. A fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the skin tissue. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin.

Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder contains Fluconazole, which kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi responsible for their normal fat metabolism; this interferes with the formation of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, fungal or yeast cells are killed or their growth is minimised.

Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder is for external use only. Use Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder as prescribed by your doctor. Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder may cause common side effects, such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary from person to person. The detailed uses of Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder are as follows:<br/>• Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis): Reduces itching, redness, and discomfort caused by fungal infections of the feet.<br/>• Ringworm (Tinea Corporis): Treats circular, itchy rashes caused by fungal infections.<br/>• Fungal Sweat Rash (Tinea Cruris): Helps control fungal infections in sweaty regions like the groin.<br/>• Tinea Versicolor: Relieves skin discolouration caused by fungal development.<br/>• Diaper Rash: Sometimes used to treat fungal diaper rash.<br/>• General Fungal Skin Infections: Aids in preventing and treating fungal infections affecting various areas of the body.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Efcin 0.5% Dusting Powder should be applied as prescribed by your doctor, typically once or twice daily, depending on the severity and location of the fungal infection.
