Polymyxin B is bactericidal, which kills the bacteria by preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls essential for their survival. Chloramphenicol is bacteriostatic, which prevents bacterial growth by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacterial growth and multiplication. Clopol Eye Ointment 5 gm prevents the spread of eye infections caused by a wide range of gram-negative bacteria.

Use Clopol Eye Ointment 5 gm as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is intended for use in the eyes only. • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the gel into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
