Cetribect 0.5% Soap belongs to a class of drugs called 'antiseptic', primarily used to treat wounds, cuts, and minor burns and protect against infection. Wounds, cuts, and minor burns are all small injuries to the skin. A wound is any kind of skin damage, like a scrape or a sore. A cut happens when something sharp breaks the skin and causes bleeding. A minor burn usually comes from touching something hot and can make the skin red, sore, or slightly swollen.

Cetribect 0.5% Soap contains Cetrimide. It has antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. It works by preventing microbial growth and hence treats the infection.

In some cases, Cetribect 0.5% Soap may cause common side effects like irritation and a burning sensation at the application site.
