Gum pain that lasts for a few days is usually caused by swollen gums, mouth ulcers, a mild infection, or irritation from brushing too hard or from eating something sharp or spicy. B-complex vitamins only help if the pain is related to a vitamin deficiency, so it is not unusual that you did not feel any improvement. Alsore Gel can generally be used safely for short-term relief if used as advised. It contains Choline salicylate, which helps reduce pain and inflammation, Lignocaine hydrochloride, which numbs the area, and Benzalkonium chloride, which helps reduce bacteria. You should apply a small amount directly on the sore gum using clean fingers or a cotton bud, preferably after meals and before bedtime. Do not overuse it and avoid eating or drinking immediately after application so it can work properly. However, this gel only provides temporary relief and does not address the underlying cause.
