About Acinil Syrup
Acinil Syrup is used to treat acidity-related stomach discomfort such as heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. The stomach is protected by a mucus layer. When excess acid damages this layer, it can cause acidity and heartburn.
Acinil Syrup contains aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and dimethicone, which work together to relieve acidity and gas. It helps neutralise excess stomach acid and reduce heartburn and indigestion. It also helps break down gas bubbles and ease bloating.
Take Acinil Syrup as suggested by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as constipation, loss of appetite, weakness and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Inform your doctor before taking Acinil Syrup if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, or kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking Acinil Syrup if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Acinil Syrup should not be given to children as safety has not been established.

Acinil Syrup belongs to a group of antacid medicines that treat acidity-related stomach discomfort, such as heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (stomach inflammation), and stomach upset.
Acinil Syrup is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), magnesium hydroxide (antacid) and dimethicone (antiflatulent). Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Dimethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.
Do not take Acinil Syrup for longer durations unless advised by the doctor. Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Acinil Syrup for 1-2 weeks.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Acinil Syrup . Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you experience severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acidity. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This prevents acid reflux.
To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Acinil Syrup for as long as your doctor has advised it for you. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Acinil Syrup .
Consult your doctor before taking Acinil Syrup along with other medicines, as Acinil Syrup might affect how other medicines work.
