Zo Eye Drops contains ofloxacin, an antibiotic used to treat eye infections caused by bacteria such as conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers. About Zo Eye Drops

Zo Eye Drops is used to treat bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and ulcers of the cornea. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid. 

Zo Eye Drops contains Ofloxacin, which works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) that is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, it kills bacteria and clears infection.

Use Zo Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. Zo Eye Drops is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Zo Eye Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry eyes, blurred vision, eye discomfort, eye redness, mild itching, or irritation in the eye. Most of these side effects of Zo Eye Drops do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

The detailed uses of Zo Eye Drops are as follows:<br/> • Bacterial eye infections: Zo Eye Drops is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye such as conjunctivitis caused by bacteria.<br/>• Corneal Ulcers: Zo Eye Drops is also used to treat corneal ulcers, especially those caused by bacterial infections.<br/>• Post-Surgical Infection Prevention: Zo Eye Drops may be used to prevent infection after certain eye surgeries like cataract surgery by controlling harmful bacteria in the eye.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Zo Eye Drops is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Zo Eye Drops as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of cornea (transparent layer at the front of eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using Zo Eye Drops and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using Zo Eye Drops. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Zo Eye Drops.

Zo Eye Drops may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.

Zo Eye Drops is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. Zo Eye Drops is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.

You are not recommended to stop using Zo Eye Drops without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the infection. Therefore, use Zo Eye Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed it and if you experience any difficulty while using Zo Eye Drops, please consult your doctor.
