Zita-DM 1000 Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat diabetes. It is used for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic condition that influences the body's metabolism of glucose or blood sugar. Insulin resistance or insufficient insulin production are the two main causes of type 2 diabetes.

Zita-DM 1000 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin (sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors), Tenegliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor), and Metformin (biguanides), which work by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high.

What if I have taken an overdose of Zita-DM 1000 Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Overdose of Zita-DM 1000 Tablet may cause low blood sugar. If you think that you’ve taken too much of this medication or have symptoms of low blood sugar, get medical help right away. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

Zita-DM 1000 Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to any medicines or their components. It is unknown whether Zita-DM 1000 Tablet can be given to pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. Hence, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Avoid drinking alcohol while on Zita-DM 1000 Tablet  as it increases the risk of hypoglycemia and lactic acidosis (when the lactic acid increases in the body, which impacts the functioning of various organs in the body). Inform your doctor if you have any liver/kidney disease, heart problems, and hypertension before taking Zita-DM 1000 Tablet . Before starting the treatment, inform your doctor about your medical history and the medications you take, including herbs and supplements, to rule out any side effects. Prolonged intake of Zita-DM 1000 Tablet may cause acute pancreatitis (swollen pancreas).

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Include your diet with whole grain foods, fruits and veggies and other fiber-enriched foods. 
  • Do 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity or one hour and 15 minutes of high-intensity exercise weekly.
  • Add omega-3 fatty acid-containing oils for daily cooking.
  • Avoid taking too much stress as it may elevate your blood sugar level. You can adopt stress management techniques like mindfulness to control stress-related blood sugar changes, meditation, or yoga.
  • Weight loss gradually to achieve a healthy body mass index (18.5 to 24.9).
  • Keep your blood pressure as normal (140/90) as possible, as it reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases in diabetes patients.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption while on treatment with Zita-DM 1000 Tablet .
  • Take short, frequent meals, and avoid prolonged fasting when taking Zita-DM 1000 Tablet .
