About Zeriphylline Tablet

Zeriphylline Tablet belongs to the class of drugs called bronchodilators, used to prevent and treat symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases that includes emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes).

Zeriphylline Tablet contains Theophylline and Etofylline, which work by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Thus, it makes breathing easier.

Take Zeriphylline Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Zeriphylline Tablet for as long as your doctor recommends, based on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience nausea, vomiting, headache, restlessness, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, or stomach upset. Most of the side effects of Zeriphylline Tablet do not require medical attention and usually resolve on their own over time.   • Drink plenty of fluids daily to thin mucus, making it easier to cough out.
  • Avoid foods such as cabbage, beans, garlic, onions, shrimp, pickled foods, dried fruits, fried foods, carbonated drinks, wine, and bottled lemon and lime juice, as they may worsen asthma symptoms.
  • Exercise regularly to strengthen your breathing muscles and boost your immune system. Learning breathing exercises will help you move more air in and out of your lungs.
  • Do meditation, deep breathing, regular exercise, and try progressive muscle relaxation techniques to get relief from stress and reduce the risk of an asthma attack.
  • Quit smoking as it may reduce the effectiveness of Zeriphylline Tablet, irritate the lungs or worsen breathing problems.
