Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm is used to reduce swelling/inflammation, itching and redness caused due to certain fungal skin infections. It contains Fluocinolone acetonide and Miconazole,which kills fungi and works by preventing the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling. Some people may experience side effects such as dry skin, skin peeling, increased hair growth, pimples, patches of pale skin, itching, irritation or burning sensation at the site of application. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

About Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm

Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm is a dermatological combination medicine used to reduce swelling/inflammation, itching and redness caused due to certain fungal skin infections. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and cause infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm is a combination of two drugs, namely: Fluocinolone acetonide (corticosteroid) and Miconazole (antifungal). Fluocinolone acetonide belongs to the class of corticosteroids that works by preventing the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling. On the other hand, Miconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by causing holes in the fungal cell membranes thereby killing the fungi.

Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm is only for external use. Use Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm as prescribed. Your doctor will recommend how often you use Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm based on your medical condition. Avoid contact of Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm with nose, ears, mouth or eyes. In case Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience dry skin, skin peeling, increased hair growth, pimples, patches of pale skin, itching, irritation or burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm. Do not use Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm in more than prescribed doses, or for a prolonged time as it may cause adverse effects such as skin thinning, visible small veins or stretch marks.  Avoid using Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm for more than 5 days in children and on the face. Do not apply Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm on open wounds, cuts, scrapes or damaged skin. Do not swallow Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm. In case of accidental swallowing, contact nearby poison control centre or consult a doctor immediately. If you have rosacea (redness and often red, small, pus-filled bumps on the face), acne, perioral dermatitis (red, bumpy rash around the mouth), any skin infection, psoriasis, diabetes, liver or adrenal gland problems, inform your doctor before taking Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.• Apply a small amount of Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm as a thin layer and gently rub it on the clean and dry affected area of the skin.• Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm is for external use only. Avoid contact of the Zemtrol Skin Cream 30 gm with the nose or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, thoroughly rinse them with water.
