Viscogain XL PFS 1.5% Injection 1's is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used in the treatment of knee pain due to osteoarthritis. It is a degenerative joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering of cartilage.

Viscogain XL PFS 1.5% Injection 1's contains Sodium hyaluronate, which works by restoring synovial fluid in the knee that helps to lubricate and cushion the joint during movement. Thereby it reduces pain.

Viscogain XL PFS 1.5% Injection 1's will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as pain, swelling, redness, and warmth at the injection site or fluid in the joint. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Sodium hyaluronate or products from birds such as eggs, feathers and poultry, inform your doctor before receiving Viscogain XL PFS 1.5% Injection 1's. Viscogain XL PFS 1.5% Injection 1's is not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding woman and should be used with caution in patients with pre-existing chondrocalcinosis (accumulation of calcium salts in hyaline cartilage or fibrocartilage) as it may lead to an acute attack of the condition.
