VARIPED INJECTION VIAL is an injectable vaccine used to help prevent chickenpox (varicella) in children, adolescents, and adults who are not already immune. VARIPED INJECTION VIAL is not taken every day. It is given according to a recommended one-dose or two-dose vaccination schedule based on your age, health condition, and previous vaccination history. It may be administered with or without regard to meals because food does not affect how VARIPED INJECTION VIAL works. Eating a balanced diet, drinking enough fluids, and getting adequate rest may help support your body's normal immune response after vaccination.

Most people receive VARIPED INJECTION VIAL without any serious problems. Mild side effects such as pain, redness, swelling at the injection site, mild fever, or a small rash may occur and usually resolve within a few days.
