Tritofen Syrup 60 ml

Tritofen Syrup is used in the prevention of bronchial asthma. The detailed use of Tritofen Syrup is as follows:

• Asthma Prevention: Tritofen Syrup is used as a long-term preventive treatment for bronchial asthma. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of asthma attacks by stabilizing mast cells and reducing inflammation in the airways. It is not effective for acute asthma attacks, but works over time to keep symptoms under control.

Tritofen Syrup contains Ketotifen (anti-allergic medicine) that works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called ‘histamine. This chemical messenger is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Ketotifen helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms like blocked/runny/itchy nose, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes that occur due to allergic conditions.

• Tritofen Syrup can be administered with or without food as directed by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Administer the prescribed dose to the child using the measuring cup/dosing syringe.
• Shake well before use.

• Sleeping for 7-9 hours each night can make your child stay fit and safe.
• It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens (allergy-causing agents) such as pollen, dust, and other dust. Certain food items are also known to cause allergies.
• Make your child drink more fluids to avoid dehydration.

Avoid giving Tritofen Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to it. Keep your paediatrician informed about your child’s health condition, including their previous medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, notify the paediatrician of all the OTC medicines, including other vitamin supplements that your child is taking. It is advised not to give more than the prescribed dose of medicine. Also, inform your doctor if your child has liver or kidney-related issues before administration.
